Werner van Aswegen

I was born on the beautiful continent of Africa where diversity is the spice of life and known as Werries among my mates .  From a very young age I showed great interest in music and during my high school, I was challenged to take guitar lessons and by the age of 16 I was able to play guitar professionally.  In 2009 I decided to make music my career and I joined our local church’s band.

After completing my grade 12, I went to C.O.P.A (Campus of Performing Arts) where I studied for 2 years and achieved my NQF2 Performance Certificate & ACM Intermediate Certificate in contemporary popular music practice.  I then went to EMENDY (Sound & Music Technology College) in Pretoria where I studied Digital Music, Production & Sound Engineering. I joined Alvain’s band in 2011 and see it as one of my highlights in my career to date.

Music has always been a fundamental part of my family’s life and it is no wonder I have such commitment to see my God given ability reaching the skies!  For the sky is the limit.
